valve train organizing tricks????need help organizing tips,n'tricks wanted

i am getting ready to rebuild my first engine
i've bought almost all the tools i need and i am sooo tired of spending money left and right...anyways

what would be the best way of organizing my valve train while its out of the head??
any tricks you guys could reccomend would be great!!

i know they sell those nifty little organizers
but dont have the money for that

 

16 cube ice trays... not as commom an item as you might think, works for me if the cam is goin' back in.

 

i think i might go to the dollar store tomorrow and buy some crap just remembered they have a bunch of kitchen organizing stuff
ice cubetray/kitchen utencil organizer/ and we'll so the other organizers they have there
there goes that ligth bulb going off
