Later 5.0 engines had the Powered by Ford covers before they went to OHC engines in the Mustangs. I think early Shelby's also used Cobra Powered by Ford covers.

I sometimes have to make my own custom valve covers for my inline sixes. Here are a couple I have fabbed up.

Can you guess what I used for the top of this one?

I wasn't happy with the available options for the 472/500ci Caddy engines. So, I made my own...

I like the look of a simple glass bead finish...

I bought these at a flea market while on vacation, a few years back! 8D167A54-9F7C-4BF5-83EF-450B42C32B60.jpeg They were real dirty, so while we were having a flat fixed at Walmart( took forever), I bought some cleaning stuff and sat out under the trees and cleaned them up! Made me happy! :)

  13. Early Cal Custom covers.... The main issue with these is there isn't always room for aftermarket rockers under them unless you use spacers.

  14. If you're going to run early FE covers on a small block (or any motor without an intake fill), this is the way to do it! GREAT JOB!

No photos but my 292 will have polished finned aluminum overload with no detail paint as it stands now.
12 bolt Tom Valve cover polished by Andy Tants
    finned side covers.
Finned air cleaner similar to what HRP has on Momma HRP's wagon.
    Finned breather cap.
Aussie speed 4 barrel intake that so far isn't polished.
Block, head and pan will be as close to factory 48 Chevy engine gray as I can get.
The whole idea is to have those not paying close attention to argue that it is a well decorated stove bolt rather than later six.

I've got these stashed back. I have no idea how old they are, but they look cool. 20220701_175312.jpg

  28. Good old tall finned (less fins the better), cleaned not polished or stock painted (both without any holes)......that's it in my book.
