I'd like to hear too. I was told they invented the plasma cutter and one of the best brands to get, at least thats what two different folks have told me that own one

  3. Used one at the old shop....consumables cost more than other brands. I think it was $100 each time I got a bag of tips and electrodes.

Been using one for years, works great.Just make sure you have a good prefilter to catch any moisture coming from your compresser. As water will cause havic on you tips.

I have a thermal dynamics 100xl plus for 7 years it will cut up to 1 1/4 inch of steel or alluminum, its one of my better purchases that I have made. the consumables are resonable for the time it saves.

I have an old PAK 5XR I bought used years ago, works great 55 amps, no problem up to 1\2 inch.

  11. themal dynamics seem to be good units. be careful of purchasing used unit unless you know the history of unit. best thing is to take unit to local dealer set it up and see how it runs. had a welder checked out and glad i did because it had been run beyond the rated duty cycle. somehow the tech could tell and labeled it "limited time left"
