1584714000488239020389191804255.jpg so the later GM column collar with hazard switch being collapseable has upper c clip grooves. So I put these grooves into an aftermarket borgeson 57 Chevy column. Tension the shaft with a spring at the bottom. Do they make the shaft with these c clip grooves for other chevys 31.75 long with 3/4 36 splines

  3. I'm guessing you're building a 57 Chevy? It would be easier for someone to help if we had some idea what you are trying to accomplish.

    - nice looking column with cancelling turn signals,
    1. self cancelling turn signals
    2. hazard switch in collar
    3. splined end
    4. stock ford wheel with taper - or original style reproduction
    5 solid shaft

you need an inner solid steering shaft, doesn't need to be a hollow stocker, can have lots of spline on the end for 30 - 34'' , or be double d
will feature stock ford taper and thread on the top, BUT have circlip grooves cut into it so as to hold the bearing and housing of a pre 1968/9 chevy in the correct place

so take a mustang pas conversion borgeson shaft top pic to right, add weld and turn down to 40 ford taper, cut slot for woodruff key, whilst in the spinneymething, add grooves for circlips

    groovy

I think he's trying to show us how he melded everything together to form a smooth transition for the early Ford wheel to a later steering shaft and to include self cancelling turn signals and hazard switch. But hey....I've been wrong before!
