  1. What a great build, I think the only thing I would have done different is paint the interior. But I like the patina on the outside.

I probably missed it but did you do anything to the stock s10 suspension? I love the stance.

I mocked up the truck with the running boards once but did not care for the look. I think it looks better without them.

I still have the beater flatbed.
Motor is getting changed up again with swap meet parts....world sportsman II heads and a summit 1105 cam .465/.488 lift 224/234 duration, and a 2500 stall.
It won't be a racecar, but I think it should run pretty good.

Those are great heads. I have run them on a couple healthy small blocks and they worked well.

  18. I may have asked, but...

What is the flatbed structure from originally?

This truck was originally a 3/4 ton flatbed. I shortened it about 10 inches to match the new frame (wheelbase was same, just less frame behind the axle)...and raised it to clear the rear tires.

Time for a wheel and tire change? Halibrand-ish 18x9.5 with drag radials. These tires are about 2.5 inches shorter than what has been on the truck.

I don't have front wheels yet. Thinking about 15x4.5 10 spokes that resemble spindle mounts. 20211113_163244.jpg

View attachment 5237510 Playing with 15 inch wheels in the shop, I don't think 15's will look right on the front.

Does anybody look at these wheels and think 10 spoke spindlemounts (yes, I know nothing matches but the number of spokes) or is it a WTF....those wheels don't belong together.
