I have to admit one thing, when I first thought about the GOLD for an engine it made me sick. Now when I saw it all together...WOW...what a PERFECT color.Talk about nailing the stance AND the engine color.!!!!!!!!! I LOVE this coupe build..MORE..MORE...!!

the coupe is a slow build, hoping for a more finished end product,
the roadster will be done a little less refined but I hope, sooner

sometimes I wonder if either will ever be done,
I seem to be easily distracted

where your "Tuffy" is comming along at lightning speed!
very fun to watch your progress

Why not just weld coupling nuts to the inside of the rails. Those two bolts are a bitch to get nuts on the inside with the spring in the way. looks nice Paul....

Very nice. And to think I had a headlight bar in my hand at a swap meet on Sat. Damn it I knew I should have bought it.

I wonder.... will the headlights vibrate when you hit a bump, because of the shock mount? Please report back when it's on the road.

  17. Nice work. You can really get creative with with headlight stands and upper shock mounts. Part of giving your rod it's own personality.

  20. hey man, that is one BITCHIN coupe! i hope you get it on the road with ease.

I noticed you said you had trouble with cracked 371 blocks. did you buy them that way or did you crack them yourself? and were there suspect places they have cracked? i have one in my 58 olds and am just curious if there anything i should look for (or aviod power adding wise).

wow, has it really been a whole year?

rolled the coupe out of the corner yesterday
started putting together some bracing for a new floor,
and fit and tacked in both wheel wells
