    Thought i would make a post about upcoming CT events! They may not be strictly Hot Rods but Hot Rods definately show up at them! Winter is coming and these are the last events for the season

    Saturday September 10th 2011
    CHarity Cruise Thru East Haddam, CT
    Featuring a Scheduled stop at the former CT Dragway!
    Featured on the trip will be stops at: The Connecticut Dragway, Goodspeed Opera House, The Swing Bridge, Devil's Hopyard State Park, Gillette's Castle, Nathan Hale Schoolhouse, Antique Shops and MORE
    Cruise starts at: The First Church of Christ, Congregationalat 499 Town Street, Route 151-East Haddam, CT (America's OLDEST Meetinghouse)
    Registration: From 8:30 until 10:00am
    $20.00per vehicle, $5.00 per Passenger
    Cars, trucks, and motorcycles welcome!
    Pasta Dinner served from4:30 until 6:30 following the cruise and it is included with your entry

    Sunday September 11th 2011
    The 52nd Annual Auto Show & Swap Meet
    Brooklyn Fairgrounds: Route 169 Brooklyn, CT
    Hosted by the Yankee Yesteryear Car Club
    25 classes for cars with 75+ trophies given from 1st through 3rd place
    President's Trophy AND Cash donation to the treasury of the Car Club who brings the most vehicles!
    Car Corral & Show Cars for sale on the field ($10.00)
    Vendor Space available
    full Swap Meet during the Show
    Show Car Registration is from 9:30am until Noon ($5.00 per car)
    Swap Meet opens at 6am
    Food and Refreshments

    Colchester Cruise on the Green
    Center of Colchester, CT
    Hosted by the Good Times Motoring Club
    rods, kustoms, classics, antiques all welcome
    Trophies
    Free event for all
    This is the last one for the year!

    Sunday September 18th 2011:
    11th Annual Cruisin' on Main
    Main Street/Old Downtown District Manchester, CT
    This is the LARGEST single day car cruise in new england!
    rods, kustoms, classics, antiques are all welcome
    $10.00 entry fee for show cars (for charity)
    Free event for spectators
    Show car reg. opens at 8am (BE THERE EARLY!)

    Sunday September 25th 2011:
    Putnam Downtown Car Cruise
    Another HUGE old downtown car cruise(rivals the size of the Manchester Cruise!)
    Held in the center of Putnam, CT
    Burnout contest
    Be there EARLY

    Saturday October 8th, 2011
    Hot Rod Fall Out V
    Elks Club Pavilion: 98 Woodland Street South Glastonbury, CT
    Bands and Continuous music all day
    Vendors, food, booze, and more
    1963 and earlier hot rods, kustoms, stocks, race & bikes. Strictly enforced at the gate
    $10.00 per person/gates open at 10am
    Rain dates: October 9th and October 15th

    Every Saturday Night:
    Car Cruise at the Sears/Stop & Shop in Putnam
    Trophies & big fifty fifty raffle
    Good show, Good People

    This Sunday the 18th is also Southbury training school, Prospect Green, CarBQ in Washington Depot and Westbrook Elks. All good shows, all on one date.

    Adding this to the event list:

    There will be a "Cruise-in" on October 22nd 2011. It will be hosted at the Scotland School's Wellness Fair and Fall Festival. They arelookingfor antique, classic, hot rods, race cars, unique cars for the event to put on display. It will be at Scotland School at 68 BrookRoad Scotland, CT from 1pm until 6pm.     This is the first time for this event and theyre looking for a gathering of great cars for a parking lot car show!
     

  5. would like to add for the western side; Hollandia Nursery's fall festival in Bethel, lots of antique cars, farm equipment, hit and miss engines, and family activities, oct 1st and 2nd

    Sunday October 1st is Cartoberfest on Route 44 in New Hartford, Ct 10 to3 at the old Waring Building. Nice show,great people,good food,band and more.$10 per car.

    If you are planing to go there will be a HAMB meet & greet at the gazebo @ noon

    Just a reminder that Connecticut's #1 strictly Hot Rod/Kustom show is THIS Saturday. The Hot Rod Fallout will be in South Glastonbury at the Elks Club Pavilion. @10.00 a person, gates open at 10am. Visit their website listed above for more info.
