Seeing all the recent updates to the 33/34 Coupe thread inspired me to post here. Marshall had started a thread, but it's so out of date and has other BS, I thought I'd just start a new one. We won't be adding to it very often, but will post updates now and then. From this: To this, one year later almost to the day: Borrowed some headlights and threw them on for shits and giggles: Some ugly asshole sitting in my coupe: It's mostly just mocked up, but while I was in Seattle last week, Marshall and I got a chance to work through a bunch of things from stance to seat placement, headers, nerf bars, blah, blah, blah. It ended my trip in a really cool way. Probably won't see it again until August when I come back for Hotrod-a-rama. Thanks again to Marshall for making this so kick ass and keeping my head staight!
I say chop it, but not a ton. Take a look at the one that Bleed did for Silva and see how he moved the back forward so that he did not have to lean the posts back and kept back window proportional. Love the motor and rolling attire. That thing is awesome!!!
And for the record, it doesn't matter what you guys think! Yeah, that is one of the examples we've discussed. Marshall will nail it.
I was just putting it out there, lord knows I wouldn't try to sway you ether way. I love the gold wheels to.
No chop. It will stand out! Boy, you sure have been busy! Love what you have done! 2 thumbs up on your engine choice. What size/year engine?
No Chop! -- look at where you are sitting, do you want to have to scrunch down and strain your neck to look out the window?
Do you need a hug? Yeah, that's the stock seat I'm sitting on, which will also get cut down, regardless of whether the top gets chopped or not. Last time someone said that, they ended up with a pink car! Thanks. It's an Olds, but not mine. Just being used for mock up purposes. Mine will be a '56 324 with tri-power, nothing too crazy on build up.
chop...chop...chop! Despite him not wanting me to chop it (he won't admit it, but he loves it!), Marshall nailed it and even let me play with his tools! This chop kicks so much ass, I can hardly stand it! It's further along now, but sorry, no more pics. There will be much more tech available soon. Stay tuned and more about that later.
Nah, keeping it here. My time in Japan may be limited anyway. Trying to get Marshall to bring another car to Mooneyes this year though. One that's getting lots of ink lately and looks like something you'd come up with in your paintings.
Here's a cool pic of these yellow towels I found. Sorry for the shiny crap in the way, but the towels were sooo soft, you wouldn't believe it! Pics don't do them justice...seriously. Oh, and this chromey and gold thing showed up at Marshall's shop from Niles Ohio.
Hey Tony, nah, I sold the Model A. Building a '33 5w you see in the pics above. Thanks though, hope all is well.
Thanks man. With the level of quality in your collection that really means a lot. I need to update pics. Next week.
