Hi to all - I've been reading posts on this board for a long time and don't expect I'll be adding much unless I'm pretty sure of what I'm talking about. My first car was a '55 Olds that I never got running and I've been obsessed with cars ever since. About a year or so ago, a friend offered me his late father's '57 IH pickup truck as he decided he would never get around to it himself and I accepted. So far I've gotten the engine running and am working on fixing the obvious problems with suspension and brakes. My goal is to turn the pickup into something that looks like the shop trucks that were used to pull race cars to the track or haul parts for auto related businesses.
