  3. They are '60s style show rods. I am sure someone else has a better answer.

When I saw the title I thought of this one I saw in a while back. It is a '27 cowl/tub (missing the back) with a race weight bed glass bet on a T chassis. I thought it was a bit odd when I saw it but the guy who owns the beginnings of it is kind of an odd duck.

OK sorry to clutter up the thread I just thought it was kind of an unusual project.o_O nothing to match the show rods in this thread :D

  7. That actually is a slick little car. For me the snow plow grill shell would need to go but I have been known to go weirder than that so it is still a slick little car.

Tex Smith, Hot Rod magazine editor, XR6 built in 1962, America's Most Beautiful Roadster 1963 GNRS, AMT model kit produced. Article states that Hot Rodding headed off in the more traditional direction after this car. upload_2020-7-29_4-12-24.png upload_2020-7-29_4-13-56.png

What that needs is for both axles to be slid forward about two feet.

I remember that. He told me he went to the custom shop and told them to stripe his car.

What’s the story on this one? Must have been in R&C Magazine.

I'd say that they moved the back section of the T touring up by removing the rear door and the panel between the doors and reworked it a bit to get rid of the wheel wells. Looking at this fenderless touring it should be rather simple to do to get the longer roadster body. You would most likely have to take a slice out of the back panel to get it to work. 27 Touring.jpg
