I have one of those Buick ones that looks like this but the notch in one side doesn't match the other side, and these look the same on both sides.

I'm guessing these are 46-48 Chevy car.

These don't match the guards in the first picture. These ('46) have a differently-shaped C notch than the original picture, plus the length above the notch on these is significantly longer than the original picture.

'47-'55 Chev 3000 series or small GMC optional equipment ...

  12. Are you sure that they are both from the same car?
    The cut-outs look very different?

    One N.O.S., one re-pop maybe?

These are correctly called bumper guards.
Bumperettes are the small "bumpers" like on the back of Corvettes, A-H "Bug-eyed" Sprites and other sports cars.

GOOD EYE! The right one definitely has a shorter bottom than the left one. Not necessarily OEM and Aftermarket but maybe just a different application, perhaps 1 Buick and 1 Chevrolet?

I just sold some of those last week or two on e-bay, they look like the ones I sold. They were for the 47-54 Chevy truck. Now I might be wrong.:D

This is the back view of the bumper guards, I purchased them on ebay 10-15-09 the seller said they were universal 46-52 guards for Chevy, Ford, Mopar. I like the shape of them and will make them fit my application. It's cool to know what your using on your ride. Anymore info let me know, thanks for all you help HAMBers.

After seeing the back of them, I think they are for a car instead of trucks.
