Technical Universal switch with 56 Ford wiper motor?

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by hell_fish_65, Apr 28, 2014.

  1. Has anyone used a Speedway universal wiper switch on a 56 Ford electric wiper motor? Motor wires are labeled A, B, F, P. B is power/battery. Not sure on the other 3. The switch is labeled battery, low, high and park. How would I wire this? Thanks.

  2. I've never seen a '56 Ford with factory electric wipers, but the wires coming out of the motor are very likely ground, low speed, high speed, and park. Ground should be black, P is park, and the other two should be the speeds.

  3. If memory serves me right, the very rare electric wiper option on '56 Fords was single speed. I know they were single speed on a '65 Comet I drove in my college years.
