I saw this car at Hershey in the swap meet area last year and it had a placard telling its history. I took a picture of both the car & placard, but I'm not sure where I put them. I'll take a look and post 'em if I can find them.

Nope, it was really done and in the flesh, so to speak. Another idea gone bad, IMO.......

  7. That was a factory dual grille design tried out by Lincoln design group. Never made it to production.

  8. I'm pretty sure ChevyGirlRox can tell you all about it...

One similar to this has been posted before, but I can't recall the specifics. I think I remember it was said to be someone in the Lincoln division's flight of fancy that was only a one year (or less) offering, because, well, look at it. (Actually, it sort of reminds me of what some say the Edsel grill looks like.)

  10. This car was at the Jalopy Showdown, no photoshop here

Warms my heart to know that in a decade or so, people will look at what a lot of guys on here have built and wonder what the hell were they thinking.

That was from the Hartung Auction in Chacago about two years ago. Bob

  16. Lincoln had nothing to do with it. The car came from the Hartung collection, but the front end was one guy's idea of what a custom should look like

  24. The only thing that would make that right is to lift the hood and find side-by-side straight eights.
