I like where this thread went. People cleaning/keeping up they're pride and joy and polishing it's bits regardless if it's finish.
I expected a lot of cars deliberately made to look bad.

    Keep 'em coming.

This is our '49 Ford. I'd like to leave it like this for a while. It's just fun to drive and not worry about it getting scratched or chipped up. ImageUploadedByH.A.M.B.1445746552.748543.jpg

  10. This weekend I took my unfinished 26 COOP to Jalopyrama Reunion in Westminster, Maryland:

    DSC01333.JPG

On the trunk lid, I taped a write-up about the progress and asked spectators to help me with solving a dilemma I have: "to chop or not?"

Of the 60 replies, 36 were "don't chop" (including two HELL NO's).....The non-chop option is kinda' growing on me....."It takes a REAL MAN to NOT chop a T".

Was it listed on Craigslist? If it's the one I'm thinking of I also kicked the idea around of buying it to use as a parts car for mine. I bought this one from HAMB'er Porkshop in the Spring of 2008.

Here is my Dad's 31 with 30 year old lacquer paint on the body, primered fenders and krylon on the wheels.

And my daily driver with a little paint left from a horrible restoration from the 70's.

    Before I started refinishing it
5 different coats of paint haha.
Started off as white when new in 66, then painted gold by Disney Anaheim in 73 for a grounds truck, then slime green followed by the green you see here, primer between each coat of course.
It was not fun sanding it to metal

That's the one. I saw it on Craigslist not long after I bought mine, probably sometime in '09.
