Kind of elementary, but.........I've got a P&J front end on my Model A, and one spring eye is a full inch lower than the other. Consequently, everything else is, too. What am I missing?

Ahhh...the magic of shims! I use copper water pipe, cut & hammered to thickness needed.

This is going to take some photos for anyone to be able to give you a solid answer.

A few things are mismatched spring pearches, mismatched shackles. Spring is actually shorter on one side.

Have you tried tightening up the u bolt on that side to draw the spring up tighter on that side ? You can sometimes force the spring to shift the frame to one side or the other by loosening and tightening the u bolts. You may have to do it on the front and back to effect the amount of change you need.

  8. Get the Fat Lady out of the low side and it will probably sit level.

Yep. Make sure they are tightened up evenly.

I take it that there is no panhard bar to adjust things.

Don is likely right as a first order of adjustment! Then use a 3' level if you can fit it in near enough to check the spring eye heights.

loosen the u-bolts front and rear...tilt the body back to level and evenly tighten u-bolts.
