I'm doing the clutch on my 62 falcon in the next week or two, but can't find any u-joint u-bolts that fit and they don't look like they will come off in one piece. The bearing caps are 1" and the smallest u-bolts I can find are 1 1/16". I've called a few local driveshaft shops and some independent parts stores with no luck. Does anyone know where i can find some?

Heat 'em up, cool 'em down, turn them nuts off.

Best to get new ones. Those U bolts are only a 1/4" in size that he's dealing with.

I found some locally at carquest. He said they were old and dusty.
It was the 15th place i called, but i was looking at 20 bucks with shipping from falcon parts, and that seemed a bit silly for two dinky little bolts :)

Carquest has surprised me a few times. They have good staff too.
