What 3 speed manual floor shiftier to use on a 1955 Ford F-100--want to replace column shifter vendor, pictures-- Thasnk
Look for an older Hurst Syncro-Loc 3 speed shifter, they were always close to the quality of their Competition plus 4 speed shifters. Even if some of the levers and rods are missing you can piece a shifter together once you get the main body.
+1. Yuppers, spend the money and get a Hurst. DDDenny's suggestion is a pretty good one too. I think that is what I have had in my 48 for the past 25 years. With a used one you take it apart, clean it up, lube it and put it back together and go again. Someone has an NOS syncrolock on Ebay for 150 but that is just the shifter and two handles. 272724621913 You would still have to come up with the rods and mount. From experience cheap shifters are best at breaking transmissions. I had a cheap floor shift in my 51 Merc years ago and it was always getting stuck between gears until someone else was driving the car and didn't take the time to get it back to neutral and broke the trans with it in two gears at once.
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ In that case No 3 speed shifter is going to get the job done. Make up your mind before you go shopping. The Wizzard
