Besides Tweety's resurrection, that yellow coupe with the 8 deuce hemi raises the hair on my arms... Can you blame me? I'm installing an early hemi in mine... Question: the frame next to Tweety, is that a new frame or the original?

  6. That frame is the original to Tweety. They are completing a lot of cool cars. You can go on instagram and listen to that hemi run. Friday I'm headed to Tyler Texas to pick up aCaddy motor

The frame really needs to be relieved so the A pillar braces do not push the cowl bottoms out. The doors never fit.
Also plan on big spacers between the frame to subrail at the B pillar. You can figure out how much by fitting the hood.

That's awesome that the original frame is being used to resurrect. Looking at the frame in the photo, it looks to be in REMARKABLE shape, thinking it might have been new. I'm in the same situation with my own. Jim must be in heaven hanging around in such an awesome hot rod shop!

Is the cream colored coupe sitting in the shop a Model A with a 32 windshield? Please advise. Looks killer.

For the countless time on this thread, that’s the “wade coupe” do a search for it, Brian bass built it, it’s a 34 windshield surround and you can watch him do it on you tube.

Also the car is Porsche white

  22. Just left Rex Rods. It's all ways a pleasure to see the evaluation of Rods they are building including Tweety. The mock up of motor, tranny, exhaust, and a few other things made it possible to tack the motor mounts in. The Wade Coupe sounds great with the heart now in it. Never saw a magneto like this one before - what type is it? Same for the Edelbrock 4 deuce manifold on a Caddy motor, reminds us of the Man-a-Fre setup on a SBC (American Graffiti). Progress is moving along!

That's a Spaulding "Flamethrower" dual point distributor.

Seriously, that is one unique distributor, didn't look carefully enough to notice the tubes for the plug wires - really NEAT!

  26. Its great to see progress being made. My only question is, when do we get to see some footage of the Wade coupe running???

Just another reminder that the sides of the frame need too be cut out for the A pillow braces. The doors will not fit right other wise.
The frame also need to be pie cut at the firewall or the back of the frame shimmed so the front of the frame is square with the firewall. The hood sides are not tapered like stock.
The car had a large amount of shims between the frame and the body at the B post.
The angle of the engine will change so it needs to be looked at.
I owned the car for 10 years and know it well.
