i thought that was a piano crate with wide whites.
LOL, yeah someone traded my piano create for a HEMI!! haha
Dang? so looks like the "body" was all just fab'd framework and a woodworker doin a car guy thing....wierd....good luck! what are you going to do for the body?
Ok I didnt read all they way thru....I see what you are doing now....forgive my dumbassness!
Damn Vein, those are some ape hangers in your avatar...
make it a traditional ? who cares
Crazy, but digging it anyway.
If you wanna find a congressman or senator, just grab your wallet. There's sure to be at least one of 'em with his/her hand on it at any moment.
That project has some great potential! Good Luck!
It's that stuff they put on the rear tires at a car show to make it look like it's smoking the tires!! You've seen it before!!!
just what the world needs one less RR......... keep up the steam. good luck stay warm
Dude that's ballsy--I just look out the window at mine when there's that much snow.
better spray it for termites
Um, lots of people here. Maybe you could take some notes....
How do you locate your nuts when you drop them?
If you wanted stock height why did you step the rear of the frame....?
What he said.
They're not like to drop when it's that cold outside.
because I didn't want the frame exposed under the body, in the back, it looks weird.
I usually find 'em by stepping on 'em. Sometimes its painful.
You are crazy. I've worked in the snow a bunch of times before, but more often than not its out of necessity more than desire. But then again there are those times when thats all you want to do...
Lookin good! Keep it up, maybe this will start a new trend...death to all cartoon cars! haha
I remember seeing this car at road devils show last year.
It was a neat concept, glad to see the direction your going in
I think the direction you are going with the build on the car is good..... and I understand what you say about the frame being exposed in the back. I like the rear crossmember it is pretty creative....
why dont you burn the body to stay warm while you work on the frame. =]
Major overhaul. Lookin good. I remember in the late sixties piling snow up all around the front and sides of my 36 5-window to cut down on the wind while I pulled the rear end. Changing a rear end outside in 25 below weather, couldn't do it now. Pat.
lol, do you remember me borrowing Tap's tires to get home because the ones I had were so dry rotted.
glad to see someone is going the right way.... hot rods will never be a "fad" but "rat rods" on the other hand.....
Only thing i ever sorta enjoyed in that kind of snow was choppin wood for the woodstove and getting the hell back inside lol hats off mate
you must have balls of steel ....but after working in that bet there rusty
ok, so I've been so busy working on this thing, that i havn't had time to post any pics. here we go. It finally stopped snowing haha, so I can actually get some shit done. I'm going for a more race car look with it because I beat the shit out of my cars. My dads race car number was 17 back in the day so thats where the number comes from. Stock looking 283, Black walls, and yeah it has an automatic, but thats only for this summer. Next winter its gonna get 4" drop, some diamond cut 8.50 in the rear and possibly wide fives , t5, and some other goodies, but thats all on the back burner until I get it on the road.. I am stoked about it!!!!!
heres some chassis and engine pics
front and rear,
sorry these pics are huge
