Just snake oil man. Just like those silly Arden heads. Just a fluke, a fad, a conversation piece and it will burn down your car. ;).

    Pics or it didn't happen

Garage magazine did an article on Zach Reynolds. Zach had one in a 64 Galaxie I think it was. The car went across the auction block a few years ago, don't know what it went for.

The main issue with the Turbonique is that its almost impossible (thanks to Homeland Security) to get the proper fuel & oxidizer to fire the thing.

Fantastic vid!!!! I remember seeing the Speed Sport at Fontana with what appeared to be three turboniques for power. I think it ran in the 180s.

Slightly off topic. Was that Prudhomme driving Ivo's car?

Arctic Cat put a Turbonique in the first Boss Cat Land Speed record sled in 1971. It ran 125 mph on the snow, but blew up on the return trip when the driver pedaled it to regain traction. Just blipping the throttle caused the Turbonique to load up with fuel and explode. Arctic Cat stayed with regular piston engines for the next 2 Boss Cat sleds.
