I have a 2 inch wide dual leaf set-up and got an aftermarket drop tube axle. I need to weld up some sort of a set-up to mount all this together. I found 2 inch wide spring perches but they are for a 2 1/2 axle tube on ebay. My axle tube is 2 inches in diameter. I think I will be ok with that but now I have the problem of trying to find a u-bolt to fit the 2 inch axle tube by approx 6 inches long. I don't know how other people set theirs up but maybe some pics of what you fabbed up or any links to where I can find a 2inch id u-bolt by approx 6 inches long.
    thanks, josh

Josh, look at your local trailer supply. Tractor Supply (TSC) also stocks lots of trailer parts.
    Good luck

  3. U bolts are available for trailers in that dimension and can be bought off the shelf. Also any springshop wuld make you one in a couple of minutes They have the theaded stock and just bed to suit in the proper outfit for the job. These pics are mine underconstuction. 2 springs with tube axle but 1/4s not halfs.

Go to jeep dealer ask for spring pads for jeep measure them, then go to NAPA dealer and look at their U-bolt selection. Should be something that works.
