trying to ID this side view

I just got a 55 Buick - the stock mirror is ruined - this came with the car

is it a Buick mirror?

or even GM

it has a metal stud towards the front to mount to the door i assume

any ideas

It looks a lot like a '55 Dodge mirror, which I'm looking for. Not 100% sure but I can compare. My Dad has a '52 Buick, mirror looks nothing like this one, but it's a '52 so no telling if they are the same.

I'll look into this and get back to you.

 

is there a part number cast into the bottom of the mirror bracket? might help figure it out...

or use google images to look for pictures of those cars

I'm 100% positive it is a '55 Dodge mirror. Let me know if you want to sell it, my '55 Dodge could use it.
