I am looking for this car that was given to me by my father in law about 1996. We sold the car around 1999 or so to a guy that if I remember right lived somewhere in Indiana. The car had a 351 windsor with a auto trans. The interior was a brown or tan cloth. Has anyone seen the car or have information on it? I have seen the power of the HAMB work before so I hope it will work again. We sold the car to help finance our house and my father in law has since passed so I am hoping to maybe find and even purchase the car back if possible. Thanks.
One thing that really stands out on that car is the OG spare tire carrier. Can't remember seeing another hot rod with one. Removing it may have been the first thing the new owner did.
Someone is bound to recognize it here, good luck with your search. Like Bob said, it is a nice car....
Ok not he same car. I had to look through my pics, I remembered a candy brown 32 with wire wheels but couldn't remember if it were a 3 w or 5 w, I think it was 9 years ago.
Hopefully, someone recognizes it. 18 years is a long time. The car could be with the same owner and socked away in a garage relatively unchanged/undriven or could have been through several owners and changes to the point you wouldn't recognize it. Could be torn down/disassembled undergoing a rebuild. The resto rod look is way out of date, so with each new owner, the chances of the car being changed up increase geometrically. Likely changes would be the loss of most/all the stock trim (spare, headlights, Greyhound, bumpers, etc.) Looks like it had really nice paint/filled roof. My guess: it may be in the same paint, full fendered with different wheels/tires and trim cleaned up. Did it have I Beam or independent front suspension? If it had independent, it's likely the car wasn't converted into a Hiboy, unless somebody really tore into it.
18 years ago the resto rods still had a following but the way styles and trends change the car could very well be chopped, smoothed up and painted like a Easter egg..I hope not and wish you all the luck in the world in locating the coupe. HRP
Back up. "Did it have I Beam or independent front suspension? If it had independent, it's likely the car wasn't converted into a Hiboy, unless somebody really tore into it." It had an independent front end.
