this is a great thread !... anyone else ?
there alot of new hamber out there ! which ones are doing it year round ..!!!!!!!
I nearly lost the faith and did something philosophically impure: I was thinking about buying another car to run in the winter. Thankfully, a coworker pointed out the intellectual dishonesty of buying a winter beater when ostensibly I bought my car partially as an objection to living in a disposable society.
I also have to thank my wife for talking me into spending the $1500 I might have used to buy a beater to further fix up my Falcon.
So, into another winter we go. Hopefully with a better-sealed interior to keep in some of the heat this time.
lol thats great . my 54 was amzing in the winter ! I did go through 15-20 hand warmer you by at gas staations ... fun times.
WHOA!! This is EASILY the best looking Fairmont I've ever seen. Goes to show that more modern cars with the right taste can be made into lookers too. Huge Congrats. Bet it was a cool car to own!
Seriously? One newb posts an off topic car and another foams at the mouth over it. Wrong forum guys...
Correct. The right forum is here.
Dogfight Magazine - It's like the HAMB for late models and modern-style builds!
1971 Ford Torino - Daily from April until November - 20K miles since purchased Nov 2008
1972 Ford F100 - Daily for 2 years until I sold it
1960 Studebaker Lark - My brother's daily for 2 years - Drove from Pittsburgh to Detroit regularly. 30K miles on it since bought for $1600 bucks.
1948 Ford F100 - Brothers daily year round. Had 1 wiper and aux heater. He drove 50 miles a day. Sold this summer.
2001 Porsche 911 Carrera4S - My AWD winter car for 1 year
Unfortunately my Torino has been smacked into numerous times since I live in the city and park on the street. I am going to buy a car I don't care about until I have a living situation and job that more old car friendly. I don't want it to get totaled.
My daily driver from 1968 to 1972.
62 Lark 6 cyl. 3 on-the-tree with overdrive and a Twin Traction 4.10 rear.
Ohio car...... Lost it to cancer.
Here's my one and only running car at the moment. I drive the piss out of it. Seen a lot of sun and rain so far. Snow and ice to come!
The best an most recent picture of my 78 Ford stepside . OH THANKS A HELLUVA LOT TO HAMBER Flat TOP Bob, his tailgate completed the ride last week !!!!!!!!!
Hey Bob , see how great it fits ?

Back on topic...(in the best effort to keep the mods from locking the thread!!!)
My daily still is either this:
My 55 Desoto... all day, every day!
lets try to keep it traditional .. thanks . zman xoxo
An hour ago.
One is an '82, so not HAMB friendly. Looking to change that though and make another daily. Thinking maybe a '62 Impala.
Have logged over 10,000 on the '37's odometer since buying it May 5, 2011.
Here's a few shots from this morning, coming home from StL.
Cadillac 500 in my daily driven 1963 International C1300 work and fetch truck.
This took the place of a 2000 Dodge Ram 2500 V10 4x4.
Best decision of my life.
Not in the snow.....
let see who has balls to drive a trad in the snow ??? men from the boys ??
Mine is run in the snow and salt all winter.
Not driven daily, but will start and run any day.... and gets a regular workout during 6 months of snow season here.
The only thing that keeps me from driving these is either salt on the road or if secure parking isn't available (Newark Airport, Manhattan, etc..) Oh and once or twice a week I go to the auction, sometimes it's a 200 mile drive so I take a company car.
who started this thread ??? hi 5 to the person who did .
Mine. Drive it everyday.
My wife drives the white 70 Impala and if I'm not in My 50 Im in the Fleetline
