Looks like a 33/34 Ford? If so try getting a 1935/36 Ford pick up truck firewall which fits in 33/34 Fords, and give you a factory looking firewall with heaps of recess area for a early Hemi!

amazing metal work! this car is virtually unrecognizable from the starting point...I'm not sure if this is the same car but I remember vaguely a thread about a guy mating a '35 Ford truck cab with a '34 Chev rear clip then if I remember correctly he abandoned the chev 1/4s and either made his own or went with repro '34 ford 1/4s ? any way it was a street rod an insane amount of work was done to it and it ended up red

  10. Sadly I have none.
    Very little time lately.
    Everyone else's stuff comes first.
About the only things Ive done was try a blower on for size :D, about 6' of welding around the back window, try to figure out the door window fuzzies, and keep wishing I'd not installed bear claw latches. I need to get all the door innards all sorted out, that is what is keeping the door skins off. There's a major roadblock in the doors. So much so I've been looking for another set of doors (nice ones) and truck cab door jambs to nix the bear claws and redo the chops

  11. A little refresher on the rear bumper/tailights.

I had to move these olds grill bars today.
I thought it's been a while (too damn long) since I got to work on my own car.
So I snuck a couple hours in.

    Made a rough cut,
    image.jpg

    Then I Coped them together,
Had to play sneek up on it and get them both equal.

I'll tack them together first thing in the morning.
So after the tacking one of two things will happen,,,,
the thing sits around the shop different place
    or
I'll section the middle out to get the overall length right and try it on the car for size.
    How are you betting ?

I'm not betting, but I'll hope that you section the middle out to get the overall length right and try it on the car for size! :D

I'm betting you'll get it welded before I buy that new TIG welder I've been dreaming about for a year or two. . .

Sure has an Ed Roth look to it, and it will be on the car before I own the long awaited TIG welder. Bob

I thought they fit up much better in the olds grill bar ?
I had forgotten that This is another reason I haven't messed with it.

  19. I think it's cool,
Cool enough to build a car around but I'm not sure it's right for this car.

I might take 3-4" more out of the middle and splay the ends out to the front instead of in to the front

  20. Maybe?
That would shorten the bumper up quite a bit too.

I'll vote for not sure it's right for this car. ( your words)
I'm not sure which car it would be right for but I'm not feeling it here.

  23. Personally I don't think it works. It looks like something that should be on one of plowboys cars.

Hey, I like it a lot. It is different and would look very good when finished off and plated and the body painted.

I don't think you can just hang it there like a bumper and have it look good but if you integrated it into the body I think it could be awesome.

Just have a small shot of this and channel your inner Ed Roth . . . 9456.jpeg
