Nitro Jim and I got the rest of the motor back together last night. ... Spun it over and she had good oil pressure, so we're all set to fire her up Saturday.

 

We fired the car up today in the driveway, no problems. Looks like we'll be ready for testing on the 18th.

Hot Rod Tuesday Night. We got a new pair of tires mounted and a new warm up bottle plumbed

 

Lots of rain this weekend, so no testing at Famoso. Looks like we'll work on polishing wheels, building clutch packs, and fine tuning some spare parts.

Good luck at the march meet. The nitro madness car wont be there this year due to scott moving to a different house.

 

That Nitro Madness car is hitter and the 2016 winner of the March Meet. Maybe in 2018..

The 6.0 index keeps the NHRA happy and no need to PRO cert the car. I'm good with the 6.0 number...

 

The 2017 Good Vibrations March Meet is in the books. We didn't have the success that we were working towards. The car made a stout pass on Saturday down a tricky track and ran just under 6.0. As Maxwell Smart said, " missed it by just that much." I can't thank Steve Be Cotte, Enrique Esparza, and Jim Holtz enough for all the hard work. Jim can drive a race car! They work really hard for a cold sandwich and soda. I wouldn't want to go to the starting line with out them.

...Thank you Jay Johnson for all your support and meals at Milt's. You bring a lot of humor to our team.

Thanks to Dan and Wendy Debo, and Daroll Webber for coming out and jumping right in and helping out. I'm happy the car hauled ass for you guys.

I'd like to say how much I appreciate having RJ Trotter with us at the races. He brings a lifetime of experience and a calming influence to a guy like me. We're very proud to have him on our side.

We sold off the old TAG trailer and now own this bad ass trailer. It's a 1 owner 34 footer. RJ Trotter bought it new in 1979.

 

I happen to really dig this particular Altered.... The body is actually a coupe body with the top removed... kind of novel.... and not to mention totally a lethal combo...!....
