You don't even drive on the beach at high tide because there is no wet sand to drive on. They have to wait until there enough exposed beach to drive and race on and can race until the tide comes about half or a bit more of the way in. I'd have to think that when they checked the open dates for the beach they didn't check the tide charts. Ideally you wuld want High tide around 7 am so you could be on the beach from about 9 to about 4 in the afternoon. Here are a few more and I'll start a thread with the photos later tonight. Bit of a problem with the beach washing away at high tide. That's it, wife is growling must feed wife.
Hi Mr.48 From my surf fishing days here in so-cal I was thinking about the tide charts too, after running the race's in N.J. i'am sure they have got that handled too
yep, tides are important - years back was with a group of friends and parked rides on the beach to take pics - shortly the rear tires of a couple of cars had water lapping against them - end of photo shoot - when driving down to beach be sure to stay on used roadway, venture off slightly & end up stuck in the sand - friend found out the hard way

light rain this morning The Southern Cali folks are bundled up in their big quilted winter coats because it must be down to about 65 here. Headed to the closest shuttle parking lot. to leave the OT and ride to the beach.
