Event Coverage TROG Santa Barbara 2019 Photos

Already a couple of threads started on this event, I was just going to plug my photos in to one of them, but I didn't want to intrude on somebody else's thread with all my stuff. So if the mod's want to combine the threads into 1, that's OK with me.


First of all I just wanted to say the event was awesome, we truly enjoyed it. The wife and I went up on Friday afternoon as soon as I could get away from work, we got there just as the sun started to go down, and we started getting some pics as soon as we could after getting our wrist bands (that took waaaaaayyyyyyyy tooooooooooo llllllllooooooooonnnnnnnnnnggggggggggggggggg).

I'll post photos in sections, starting with the Rotunda. The hotel where the event took place is an old railroad station, end of the line. The rotunda was where they turned the engines around. The actor Fess Parker bought the abandoned building and turned it into the hotel. The Rotunda made for a great setting for these customs.


In the morning the lighting was much better, and there was an addition to the display, a 58 Ranchero.

Wow, tremendous pics, a little sensory overload, from the great customs in the rotunda and on the lawn, to the rods in the pits and the 'strip. All the backwards mounted headlamps made me giggle a bit. Need that extra bit of aero on a car with cd of a sheet of plywood, lol. The #9 Deuce 3 window has the look, and I also really dig that fendered T roadster. Thanks for posting

Great pics! Glad you got to experience it in person. What a wild ride!

 

The K rails? They were moved in for the event. The street is usually a busy road that they blocked off for the event.

Very cool car, 28-29 roadster on deuce rails with deuce grill shell & flattie & aluminum heads. I'm glad I got some shots of it & you!
