I am looking for a Source about Trim with Rubber for my Runningboards ( Plymouth 1938 Coupe ) I saw a Ford Pick Up here in Germany with polished Metal Stripes , and there were Rubber slided inside the Metall. I hope you understand what i mean. Thanx & Gretings from Germany
Thank You for reply , i cannot find it between the Rubrails for Boats . Here is another Picture , Mercedes used Alloy with Rubber. I am looking for Stainless polished with Rubber Inserts . Does anybody knows the Name of a Company ?? Thanx .
The strips on the truck in the first picture you posted look like the strips from a Vespa scooter. I would try your local Vespa/Lambretta store, they should have the rail, rubber and end pieces by the meter, or at least they know where to get them.
Restoration Supply Co Has material that might work for you. http://www.restorationstuff.com/order.html Download the catalog pdf, then look on pg. 28 of their catalog (it comes up as pg 30 of the pdf.)
Take a look at mcmillanrodandcustom.com web page. I think they have or can make what you're looking for.
Thanx for the Replies , i like the Treads from Woolies , posted by Weasel. That Kind , but fabricated from Stainless l am looking for .
Cerberus , You are my Hero -- BODY SIDE MOLDING , that were the Words to look for . I found a Link with exactly the Running Board Trim i saw on the Truck from my first Post . http://www.customautotrim.com/products/moldings/rivet.htm Maybe there is another Source for it . Thanx again , and a Pic of my Plymouth 1938 Project , lot of Work , but it is already primered .
Mopar 38 - Seems like customautotrim has the product. I like the way they sell it. Cut to fit. I will need three 7 1-2' lengths of channel, 16 bullet tips, and 24' of black inset rubber. Total $360. Not a bad deal. I don't like their idea of using rivets, and will try to substitute ss fasteners. BTW, Nice 38. Love phat fendered cars that are tubbed.
