I am looking for a Source about Trim with Rubber for my Runningboards
    ( Plymouth 1938 Coupe )
I saw a Ford Pick Up here in Germany with polished Metal Stripes , and there were Rubber slided inside the Metall.
I hope you understand what i mean.
    Thanx & Gretings from Germany

The strips on the truck in the first picture you posted look like the strips from a Vespa scooter.
I would try your local Vespa/Lambretta store, they should have the rail, rubber and end pieces by the meter, or at least they know where to get them.

Looks like something McMaster-Carr would handle.

Take a look at mcmillanrodandcustom.com web page. I think they have or can make what you're looking for.

Have you considered using body side molding? It is available at body supply stores.

Mopar 38 - Seems like customautotrim has the product. I like the way they sell it. Cut to fit. I will need three 7 1-2' lengths of channel, 16 bullet tips, and 24' of black inset rubber. Total $360. Not a bad deal.

I don't like their idea of using rivets, and will try to substitute ss fasteners.

BTW, Nice 38. Love phat fendered cars that are tubbed.
