I believe that is the blue 57 150 that Jimmy shine did a few years back. Man what a neat car! However; I remember at the time it pissed me off because the owner wanted his nice 57 150 business coupe converted to a car with back seats. (I'm not sure if they converted the windows to roll up. I thought man, what a waste! Oh well. It is still a pretty car!

Incorrect. I am the guy that had the car built. I don't know where you got your information from but the car had a back seat in it when my Dad bought it. They made a 150 and 150 Utility sedan. The Utility sedan had no back seat and no roll down windows. Mine was a 150 but not the utility sedan. I kept the back seat that it came with because I wanted to be able to take my 2 kids in it.

That 55 Chevrolet "Race Riot"; the photo looks to be of the defunct Van Isle Dragways on Vancouver Island, British Columbia, Canada. Can anyone confirm that? I am Butch/56sedandelivery.

I stand corrected!! I went back and re-read the original article in hotrod. I think back then I might have assumed because it was a 150 and the article said "a rear seat was created" that it was a business coupe. I'm guessing to clear a roll cage???? That is what you get for assuming. . I am familiar with the utility sedan as I own a 55 version and I am storing a 57 version. Still one of my favorite magazine cars as it is one of the few hotrod mags that I hung on to when I had "thin the herd."

^^^^ Thank you for confirming that ^^^^. I was never there, but would have loved to have been there. It was Jim Green himself, of Jim Green's Performance Center, and Green Elephant Funny Car fa, that told me of that track.
