At our place we have at the moment 3 '57s. A BelAir 2dr HT (mine, original 283ci 245hp 2x4BC, PG), my wife's '57 BelAir 4dr HT and a friends '57 BelAir 4dr HT that we are minding because he's overseas.
I did drag race a '57 BelAir 4dr Sedan '78-'79 which went well, which was unbeaten in 2 seasons.

I saved this one from a local junkyard this past summer, the roof was caved in and it was full of bondo, but with a title and only $500 price tag I had to save it. ImageUploadedByH.A.M.B.1450655091.318537.jpg
The frame ended up being junk, so I started over. ImageUploadedByH.A.M.B.1450655133.279395.jpg
This is where we are at now...it will be raceable by the summer.

Here's one I owned for about 3 years. It had a 327 and a muncie 4 speed. One of the best cars I ever owned. Sold it back to the guy I bought it from for $2200.00
back in 1985. I wish I could do that one over again. IMG_0002.jpg

Lol That's how it was when my dad bought it in 73 so that's how he wanted to keep it.

When I drove it for about a 10 year period it looked like this.

Beautiful car. I really do need to learn how to post photos; mine are all hard copy photographs. The 55 with the 56 front end sheet metal is the "less popular" way of doing things; usually, it's a 56 with a 55 front end that guys seem to do. And the car Marty Strode posted up; was it ever a solid, burgundy color (I think)? I remember seeing a similar one, at what was then Seattle International Raceways, many years ago. The Buick side trim was different.
    I am Butch/56sedandelivery.
