Didn't someone buy this and start working on restoring it? Possibly a member of the family of the original owner?

I remember it had sat outside for a long time and deteriorated, then someone bought it and painted "Golden Rat" on the side (puke), then I think it got sold again and someone started picking off the old body work with plans to fix it. I wonder if they ever got anywhere with it?

A friend of mine had some old pics of a couple different '57's he used to have, so I took pictures of his pictures to share. Some of them are pretty time worn, these are all about 40 years ago.
