Technical Tri 5 Chevy drum brakes on early 40’s Chevy truck spindles?

    Not Tri 5. Chevy trucks got Bendix brakes about 51-52. On those trucks the same year Chevy car 5 lug hubs/drums just bolt straight on. Not sure, but I think 40's trucks had a different spindle, so to adapt 50's brakes you need to redrill the backing plates, make new spacers, and mix and match wheel bearings. You could swap the whole spindle for a 50's truck (not car) one, but check king pin diameter. Also the entire front axle could be swapped out.

    '51 - '54 pickup brakes and '51 - '54 pass. car drums & bearings. Pretty sure the lower knuckles & steering arms will have to be drilled to 1/2''
