Ok, I bought a new Hi-Arch rear transverse spring from Speedway. Pretty healthy looking, but lots of sharp edges and It is bare metal. So this weekend, I disassembled it and Dotco'd all the edges. Want to paint it before I reassemble it. What, if any, paint do you use, that wont instantly scrape off when the spring compresses. And are there any other treatments out there that will make the spring perform better ??

I have used the two or three part urethanes with good success before. I have also powder coated springs, which seems to last forever and gives a really slick surface. Use the poly spring liner if you can find it for the 2 1/4" spring, try Magnum Axle.
