Just bought car in CA. It runs drives stops and is registered. Looking to get a company to bring her out east! I have called a few companies listed in Hemmings, but have gotten some real high rates....called two guys on the hamb rolodex, but they are not doing this route soon.

Please help me out, PM me or post a reputable company. does not need to be cover trans. The car is a project vehicle, but it runs and drives and registered.

    Thanks,
    Pete

  2. Fly out with a sack of tools, buy some spares, and drive it....

Maybe make a couple of calls to some used car dealers in your area, they have haulers that move cars back and forth to the auctions, maybe one of them can put you to a hauler that moves across the country, might be a long shot but you never know. Harvey b

  4. I am on my way to Los Angeles, CA now with a 36' Ford headed
to Australia - I have 28 feet of enclosed trailer space available
to the Northeast - East Coast - Midwest - Southeast
    starting August 10th .....

There is a waiting list of cars headed east out of California
for legitimate transport - not cheap broker quotes

If you want your vehicle to arrive in the condition that it
left in - that means the same truck & trailer on a direct run

Try posting on the ' Wanted ' in the Classifieds here

With #2 diesel averaging $4.00 plus a gallon on up
nationwide and rising - there is no legitimate cheap transport

Try uship.com but definitely watch out for the brokers.

Pete I went with Intercity they where great to deal with and the price was good. I know i didnt have to worry about it getting here with them and get it undamaged aswell.

I will give a thumbs up to Jim at Truly Vintage. He has hauled a couple of cars for me and had excellent experiences.

  10. Do not use Uship unless you don't care about your vehicle that is where the bottom of the barrel swim. Price is the only thing Uship is concerned about, so if you want a car hauled to the crusher that might get there ok. I am not saying this because I am a transporter, I am booked 4 weeks in advance, so I am definetly not fishing for more work.
