Does anyone know how much heat will radiate from an automatic transmission? I will be running a built Ford C4 behind a mild BB. This is in my track-t which will weigh in about 2000lbs. I will be using large trans cooler also. I know there will be heat generated but how much I don't know. I may want to place some insulation underneath the floor and trans tunnel.
If your skin will be in contact with the trans tunnel, then yeah, you want to insluate it. otherwise dont' worry about it.
