Not sure exactly where to post this. Does anyone know the cooling capicity of a Mustang radiator? I'm running a 289 and C4 in my model T and bought a B&M trans cooler. It says it has 7500 BTU of cooling capicity. How does this compare to the one built into a 2 row Mustang radiator? Can I get away with just running the cooler and not using the one in the radiator?
You can also connect the cooler downstream of the one in the radiator, if you'd like a bit of extra cooling. Either way works. 4TTRUK
Since you live in Texas, you should be good. In colder climates, the cooler in the radiator also heats the fluid in cold weather.
From what I've heard, the aux. cooler should be before the rad. to speed up fluid warm up at start-up.
