Trains, planes and automobiles at the drive in

Saw this pic on the Carter County Cruisers Forum and wanted to share (Thanks johnb here on the HAMB).

Probably a once in a lifetime photo oppournity to get this shot. Supposedly taken in 1956 or 1957 in West Virginia.

Seen the photo many times. The main focus is not the cars but the steam train. The photographer, can't remember his name, was known for taking photographs of steam trains at night. He took some beautiful pictures.

That’s an iconic photograph for sure. I’ve seen it many times.
It has quite the composition, old school train to the jet age.

 

Bet Robert Mitchum was flying that '86.
