48 NASH wrecker, built by the Ashton division of Nash. The big "A " in the front bumper stood for " Ashton " 1 of only 200 built, this one lives in Murdo South Dakota at the Pioneer Auto Museum.
We used this one (called The Pusher) to tow and push. it was not real purdy just an everyday pickup truck. My dad's shop had a '63 that they used for a shop ruck and to hail the race car. Same color only not all butched.

Not really a push truck but a push car, the Buick hearse in the back ground is my older brothers push car. He ran the 194 Pontiac dragster in the picture at MoKan in the mid 60's.
