    Hello ,
    Do you have to fill new lifters with oil or is that a myth ?
    If you do, how do you do it,

    I let them soak in oil over night.

    Taking a pushrod and pushing the enternal piston up and down while it's in the oil helps too.

    I wasn't a rookie but.....Working in a race engine shop, the ower and I were assenbling similar engines. Of course being mildly competative and having started out on the same morning, unspoken, we were both trying to finish first. I completed mine first and when the owner was looking at my job he jokingly call my attention to the full box of unused valve seals on my bench...and pointed to one of the heads. Embarassing!
