My first time at this one. I know it has always been a must do especially for the guys up around Toowoomba/Warwick and Darling Downs area. Also a lot of Brisbane cars make the journey up there. The road from Brisbane is currently being upgraded including the road over the range so it is a lot of slow moving with 40 and 60 Km/hr zones. Got up there on Saturday afternoon and the first thing was Open House at Warren Wilkie's shop Toowoomba Rod and Custom Shop. Warren has several cars under construction. His son Jared who works in the shop with Warren is well under way with his custom 53 Chev Belair. Jared has done all the work including the top shop and bodywork. Will look great when finished. Warren also did the build on my roadster. Show and Shine was held in one of the main streets of Toowoomba on Sunday morning and then the participants(or some of them) headed back to the Showgrounds for lunch and trophy presentations. I left early to get back to Brisbane before the rain came in.
Got busy with something so now back to pictures. Jared who has the 53 Belair also own the black Model A coupe, last picture in first set.
It's interesting to see the variations of fenders the guys run on "fenderless" cars. Thanks for sharing the pictures. Nice coverage.
