This is sweet!
SUBCRIBED, NICE BUILD
Ok guys and gals it's been awhile since I've updated this build , with the oilfields taking a dump I've been watching my money and grateful to still have a job I've been busier , but with help from my club brothers we are making progress, so I'm going to post some pics with a little bit of info but the pics will tell the story
Steering column mounted , wilwood brake and clutch pedals and wildwood remote master cylinders , pedals are tight but I did some modifications and gained a little space between them
Mounted the reservoirs and had a machinist buddy make me some aluminum caps for the master cylinders trying to not get to street roddy I was just limited on space to put shit
Got the 41 dash welded in
Shot some color on the firewall, and a couple buddies stopped by to help put the motor and tranny in
Motor in and brakes and clutch plumbed
Bought a new bed from Mack , had them shorten it 13" from stock , here's my bed in a box had another friend help me put it together , Kewi Kev made some new bed mounts copied off the original bed
Great progress Tony, it's looking good.
Great to see progress.,.. Can't wait to get going on mine....
Love it, looking great..
I've have 2 other set of fenders but both need a lot of work, I was talking to a good friend of mine Bob Hudson , the guy who got me into liking Willys , and he mentioned he had a good set of fenders up in his rafters that he took off of his 39 back in the 80's , so he sold them to me !! Jazzed to have a good set !!
Tony, it's looking great! Done like real hot rod, not some over processed show queen. I dig it.
Dash is painted rattle can for now , gauges and tach mounted truck is wired , test fitting the bed and that's where I'm at now took some vacation days to try and get it running and in primer
Criminal thank you, I'm trying to make it a good driver and have fun with it , thanks guys for the comments
And excuse the messy shop it will be cleaned and straightened out after the truck moves under its own power
It's really coming along nice Tony. You are getting close to having it move under its own power
hey tony looks great .I got the speedo.thanks jere
Glad you got it Jere , hows your coupe coming?
Hey Tony, Tony from 38 2 DR Sedan Here Man Just the way I want to put A pick together. I Have Enough stuff to do a pick-up If I can find a cab but It's going to have to be close to S Dak, and cheap. Awesome build buddy looks as sweet as Apple pie and totally American. Love the truck, keep it put and soon she will be cackling that sweet noise from the Headers. God I like your build just simple and to the point. Very 60/70's. Tony from S Dak.
Looking good, will be on the road soon, really like the master cylinder reservoirs, alot better than the plastic crap that looks like it's off a late model Honda. Nice pics, even the one with my old beater.
Super! looks real clean and sanitary. Dig"n the way the headlite pods have been cut back so a sealed beam fits in. That is what I'm see'n right?
Mike yep that's what's been done
