I picked up this 29 coupe today . now its time to get to work!
Whats you plans?
Score indeed! Nailhead motor, or ?
chop the top a little more and paint .
I would like to put a flathead in it .
Great start. My first ground up hot rod was a '29 coupe with a '47 flathead. Built it in 1960 and drove it the last two years of high school and the first two years of college. Share the build with us.
NICE! That was found in Florida?
What are you thinking for drive line and frame? are you going to channel it? and btw I'm jealous.
I am going to channel it and build a front and rear zed frame.the car came from flrorida its been in storage for a long time. the body is super solid!
Thats a Special coupe. Look at the roof. They look killer. Congrats
Whats a special coupe ?
What color you thinking?
Havent decided on a color for it.
Looks pretty sharp.
That's a standard "steel back" coupe.
How do i tell for sure if it is a special coupe?
Wow...looks super solid. Nice score!
Looks to me like its already been chopped at least 1 1/2 or 2 inches
The special coupes or doctors coupe had the whole top covered
including the back of the cab.
Also looks like someone has worked the fender openings.
You did real good, got some good metal to work with.
The top has been already chopped 2 in and the wheel wells are untouched.
What about the garnish holes running across the back of the roof?
From what everyone is saying i guess it its a standard coupe.
If it were a Special it'd have the tack-strip holes down along the quarter windows as well. Check my profile album to see pics of my Special to see what I mean.
Enjoy your coupe!
I see what you're talking about.I guess I was wrong. My bad.
Special coupe or not that's an awesome score. I just got my 31 roadster rolling, and it is worth every long night to get it going.
No worries, I wasn't trying to be a know-it-all, just clearing it up for the guys wondering
Nice score, keep us updated!
