Folks Of Interest Today I lost my biggest fan...

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by 1stGrumpy, Mar 8, 2012.

  1. Early this morning, shortly after midnight, I lost my mother. Just three weeks shy of her 93rd birthday. Tuesday she had started the first of four treatments for Lymphoma, the doctors felt that she had a very good chance of beating this but her heart just couldn't take the stress any longer. The up side to this is she no longer has to deal with the severe pain. Cancer sucks....
Rest in peace, Mom, I love you... :(

You have my my deepest sympathy [& empathy], having lost both my folks in the last 3-4 years, miss 'em every day! You'll always have "those moments" but it does ease up after a spell, so hang in there! ...and you're right, Mom's the biggest fan any of us guys will likely ever have!

Grumpy i'm SO sorry to hear of your loss.
My mom passed about a year and a half ago at 68. Just went to sleep and didn't wake.
I feel your pain and know how hard it is.
Stay as strong as you can for those around you but grieve when you need to.

My deepest condolences to you and family.

Very sorry for your loss, friend. It sounds like the two of you were pretty close, and hopefully once the pain abates, that relationship is what you'll remember. Again, I'm sorry.

Holy shit. RIP. Cancer sucks, and as very hard to deal with as death to a family member is; at least her suffering is over, and shes in a better place now.

  24. Take every pleasant memory of your mom and make it into a rose. Build the biggest bouquet you possibly can. Any day you wish, take out a rose and smell it and enjoy that pleasant memory. That bouquet is yours forever and nobody can ever take it away from you ! It will last forever !
    God Bless, Wayne

My condolences for you and your family, may she rest in eternal peace.

You didn't lose her, shes just in a different place looking over you. Most importantly, she still within you.

Our Mothers are so special to us. The knowledge that they have no more pain and in a better place helps us get through our sorrow.
