I found this pattern the other day and kind of like it. I know its not traditional, but what to you think? I can take it.

    Lightning bolt hounds tooth...haha.

Paint it so it blends in and it'll look cool.

    I think I'd re-think that rear suspension

To be honest,I'm not keen on it.I reckon it would cut down the air flow through the rad as well.

Consider this --there are just as many blank spots as there are openings...therefore, if you would figure half for openings, half for blank spots, there will be plenty of air going thru the radiator...

Not finished with it yet. Just mocked up right now. I will be strengthening the rods, etc.

    If you have to ask...

I thought you meant Rolls Royce too. Regardless, I don't personally care for it, but its your car.

Air flow is a concern of mine also. I haven't decided on using it, just kinda liked the design.

forget it - just because the airflow is only half-blocked (see previous post), doesn't mean it won't restrict airflow. Very few grilles have half of the material solid. Those aftermarket things for newer trucks take advantage of the fact that there's usually a big old air intake hole under the grille. Besides, it's just not attractive - not to my aged eye anyway. But then again, I prefer demure brunettes...so what do I know?

Doesn't seem to fit what you're building.

I kind of like it, but the lightning bolts give it kind of an SS vibe and I don't mean anything Chevrolet either. As for air flow, there is plenty of open area to gain enough flow, especially while cruising.

sorry, 'didn't mean to sound critical,
I've been trying to decide on a rear suspension design for my recent project-
so I've been scrutinizing any and all pictures I come across

as for the grill.. I don't think I'd use it myself..

I guess I can't help being at least a little critical

I'd want to see it finished before I judge. I don't really like the design, but if it ended up being more subtle it might be a nice touch. Go ahead and try it.

Reminds me of the '53-'56 F100 horn button and hood ornament.

Since you asked for an opinion, I think ya can do way better. Good luck with your project.

  29. No thank you. Model A shells look fine with just the radiator fins showing.

  30. Split it in half so the right side is a mirror image of the left.
