Happy Victoria Day! Normally I'd be at a show but in our given situation maybe a virtual one will have to do. Let's see pics of what you'd drive especially those of you that have Vickys, such as '32s, '55-56, etc. "Let us be amused"!

Well I didn't know that. Interesting, I thought all Commonwealth countries enjoy this holiday. Well at least you have a state (?) named after her.

And for those who don't celebrate it remember Deuce Days is held in her namesake city, Victoria, BC.

Ok, I'll call off the JTF 2 and the SAS...

I just asked Uncle Google and apparently Victoria Day is a uniquely Canadian, along with parts of Scotland, holiday. Well at least we know who the loyal ones are...LOL

    South Africa doesn't either.

Most of our Model As are Canadian though. I don't think I've ever seen a Vicky locally.

I didn't realize there are 54 commonwealth countries, and I also didn't realize Queen Victoria married her first cousin Prince Albert. Explains a lot I guess.

Stogy, thanks for that. Hearing the bagpipes has whet my appetite for a drink of Whiskey, Canadian Rye not that Scotch stuff. Have fun on your trip to Alberta...

    Happy Victoria Day from Victoria!

Back when we could cross borders, I frequently would get caught out with stores in the US closed to some surprising holiday like Presidents' Day, Memorial Day etc.

Why can't they have sensible holidays like us in Canada, such as celebrating Queen Victoria's birthday?
Well except for Quebec, where instead they celebrate "Fête des patriotes" in which they celebrate losing a rebellion in 1837.

Now that's fitting. I'll have to look up that rebellion. I remember one time travelling through CA with our trailer. I fellow comes up to my dad after noticing the BC plate and said he really thought Canadians were smart because all of our holidays gave us a long weekend.
