@FESpeedmachine I checked back into @AVater's posts and he did not do a build thread that I could see but I'm sure he will chime in with that info...

It's great to see you and others going through this most interesting thread...enjoy...;)

Many thanks Stogy for sending a note re the paint color question.

Good morning & my apologies for “ being asleep at the wheel” My avatar is Washington blue, an old Ford color used several years on Model As and early V8s but ironically not in 1929.

    Hope this helps.

Don't have a Hotrod turn a Classic into one...sometimes the difference is just the driver and the gas pedal...dang'd Hoodlums...

^somebody went to a lot of effort to fake that patina.
Note rad fill location, starter, repro looking hub caps, and a few other things.

  25. That 1933 Dodge Huboy was Built by Jim Niblet, see his 1933 Dodge Yellow Hiboy Roadster on Cover Of Rod & Custom In 1973 at Tulsa Nationals. I was there & saw his Roadster. I got to Ride in the Flamed Roadster at the 1977 Pate Swap Meet. I purchased a pair of Magnesium 16” by 9.0 Large Windows 5 On 5-1/2 Ford BP Wheels. With brand new Firestone Diamond Dirt Tracks Mounted On Mags! Price was $300.00 for all. I’ve still got those Wheels & Firestones. 42 years later. Jim owned & built around 5 or 6 of those Dodge HiBoy Roadsters. He’s retired and n Florida. I’ve got a Good Friend The ‘Original Grumpy George’ that keeps in touch with Jim.

    I'm not sure but isn't that @dana barlow...:D

Joking aside it could possibly have the turtledeck hidden by angle...but if it's similar to you're's I see it has numbers on the side signifying a racing Hotrod so these are things to consider.
@a boner, if that turtle deck is truly removed I'm gonna say a Modified...You can plug Lakes or Track or T in front depending on what and where it see's action...it sure looks to be race ready...there is dual coils on the firewall it seems.
