I'm not sure what the grills are. I think Ralph said one was a Pontiac but I don't know if that is what is on it now or if that what Marvin used. It was a trickster style wit the nerf bars all around. The side ones helped identify the car. I saw a front nerf bar in Ralph's shop the looks like the one in the old pictures.

They hadn't gotten to the compound curve part of the curriculum yet.

  5. I remember a lot about the '60s right up to Grace slicks Birthday in Golden Gate Park. My mom said, "Don't eat the watermelon honey." But she was too late.

@Stogy this one may be a little more appropriate. LOL

Yupp...that could inspire installing Corvair quarters on a Model A for sure...It no doubt wasn't a un-influenced decision...;)

I went to college in Oakland in the '60s so close to Berkley you could feel the teargas. It was actually against the law to dance to the music at a San Francisco concert. Golden Gate park and the Haight even shocked us and we were a small part of it. Luckily there was not much going around that Raid and Penicillin wouldn't take care of in the "summer of love". What I don't remember returns in flashbacks from time to time. The most upsetting part of the '60s is what it did to rock n' roll and hot rods. :(

In between the lines were some priceless gems that remain timeless to this day...I was a kid...missed the wild moments but look back through the discussion, music and visual reminders.

Each era certainly had ups and downs. Peace Man...;)

    Quoted from story
"Talk about an interesting car. Let's start with a shortened set of Deuce rails and use the front part of a '27 body scooted rearward from the stock location.. Find one '28-'29 Cabriolet rear and trash the front and then merge together."

I agree with you, they had a mission, knew what they wanted, and got it.

Mine would be an excellent start, NO RUST, and has a '32 Ford PU top welded on, all it needs is love and a '32 grille shell.
