Thats why I posted it here. Interesting thread links too. There are lovers and haters. It wasn't hearsay as it is visually and historically validated. That car is as Vintage as apple pie. I would like to see other pics. All I have seen are a couple. The engine setup must be interesting...Anyone got pics of that. Its still hard to believe he was up against such a wall of naysayers...perhaps he wasn't. He even got kicked out of the club.

Saw this roadster at a local show, I liked what they did with it, but I'm having trouble ID'ing the grill shell. One guy said he thought it was a Caddy or LaSalle. Any ideas?

Not Cad/LaSalle. I'd guess it was a Chevrolet shell with handmade trim and screen.

To highlight and add gravitas to the precarious hood ornament.

Artistic license...I say this many times. I am amazed at how forward thinking artists and thinkers were. That graphic does follow the swoop of the fenders. I don't mind it...A very artistic and lavish period the art deco era. Eye of the beholder comes to mind as well. Very wild stuff came out of the teens, twenties and thirties. Pretty much open season on creativity. Love it...

Like Jazz music of the times.
Makes you feel one way, but goes in a different direction you are not aware of while you listen, until it's over and you missed the moment and meaning.
Here and now, not for tomorrow's evaluation.

thanks for that info. If you or anyone else for that matter have any more pics or info on this machine please do share. So it is quite the vintage machine after all. Certainly has the aged to perfection look about it. Be something to see and hear it running.

This little car reminds me of one of those English "Trials" cars.

Those 'snap-on' discs always looked like a piker's attempt to look Salt-Racy'...
If ya can't screw 'em on, screw it! Use the repop sombreros.
