If I remember correctly, the top is a highly modified 34 Ford 3w coupe roof!

...Tracknose Drag Roadsters were banned from racing due to tragic incidents I understand or perhaps it was the rear engined ones?...I wonder if this was the next gen use for these...interesting that this almost was a nod to funny cars.
